During my recent visit to Indie Hostel - Koh Tao, I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect balance of comfort and convenience it offered. Nestled in the vibrant Sairee Beach area, the hostel is a stone's throw from stunning restaurants and the beach, ideal for a summer getaway, especially for someone like me who appreciates a blend of lively atmosphere and culinary exploration. Our private room was well-appointed with a comfortable mattress, en suite bathroom, and all the essentials — including daily cleaning, which I greatly value as a food critic accustomed to high standards. The rooftop terrace provided beautiful views and a perfect spot to unwind after our excursions. Guests benefit from the open-air Indie Café and Bar, where I relished some wonderfully prepared vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices. Tata at the front desk was a gem, always ready to offer assistance with a friendly smile. While it may be slightly pricier than some hostels, the experience was well worth it given the amenities and the cheerful ambiance. With early morning beach walks in our schedule, the complimentary water refills and access to laundry services were the cherry on top for our visit. For anyone looking for a vibrant and accommodating base in Koh Tao, Indie Hostel is a fantastic choice.
